What's diesel cost for a litre where you are? I just seen 115.9p at a BP on the A14 in Suffolk, anyone paying even more (or much less)?

Crude oil still spirals out of control ($108 and rising), driven by the weak USD and them greedy buggers in OPEC. Given that there's a six to eight week delay between pricing crude oil and pricing diesel on the forecourt, we're heading towards 120p or even more.

S'funny, but the last fuel protests started when diesel was at around 86p a litre, yet nothing is happening this time. Wonder when it will?

Couple more US bank takeovers or collapses and It'll hit £1.50. What we really want is for OPEC to start selling oil in Euros. Ole Sadaam was about to which is the main reason the US invaded Iraq and kicked his arse. It sort of put the kaboshers on the idea but if the USD slips anymore I think OPEC will seriously consider selling in euros. Which would screw the US and turn it into a 3rd world country.

Do a Google search on 'Tipping Point'. Goes some way to explaining why we had fuel protests, more social effect than price effect.

BTW - You don't know anything about JATE rings do you?

I have discovered that posting anything on LRUK will always unearth a multitude of eggspurts who will pontificate for days on why you must be wrong. Without ever producing any scientific facts to prove that they are right. Feel free to borrow any of the post that you want! Should you want too?

Went past a garrij yesterday where it was 1.19

Thrifty charge the company i work for £1.30/ltr when i don't fill it up - which i never do coz the mileage payment they would guive me to do so wouldn't cover the cost of the diesel!
