A favourite for LR drivers is the one at Stocking Pelham in Herts - very long and trees on both sides. It's featured in the LR mags a few times. My particular fave is Alresford Creek in Essex - anyone out there done it in a Rover?
 
You have to be careful doing the Bakewell ford. There is some dispute with the locals as to whether its a ford or not, they tend to call plod everytime someone uses it.

Those of you who use a GPS or PC software like Memory Map might be interested to know that I've converted the Wet Roads database into a format suitable for many different applications.


You can download the file from here. It's a zip file that contains the data both as GPX and CSV files. Garmin's MapSource for example will load GPX, I think Memory Map will too. Other applications (eg Fugawi) can use the CSV version.
