Dosen't the tax have to be taken off when sold and re-registered by the new owner?

My personal opinion is that the vehicles should be registered on the day the tax paid not from the the beginning of the month as in effect the DVLA is double dipping as they refund from the end of the month.

HSE that year is a petrol thing. It has a sun roof but no electric seats. Only thing near that was DHSE from 1999 on. That is pre 1998 it has no EGR. Could be a DT with a sun roof i suppose but think a DSE would have electric seats, there were lots of mix and match spec cars produced. Only way to tell would be look at log book. But it ain't a HSE.

Yes but now a separate report says they've lost way more from lost taxes. I assume this means some people in the sticks just aren't bothering and no-one knows because there's no ANPR van and no-one can be bothered to check.

my dse has sun roof and manual leather seats but those seats in the one for sale have been changed for later ones, dt`s had cloth.
