Footloose Lucy

Hi,
We are travelling down through Central/South America in a modified 1997 Discovery. (Known as Footloose Lucy).
Currently in Guatamala.
Big intermittent clouds of white/pale blue smoke (And flames)! from tail pipe.
Changed turbo unit, problem recurred after 200km.
Cleaned filter unit which is attached to the rocker cover. No effect.
Currently limping to Guatamala City 350 km away, but problem recurs every 20-50 km.
Anyone got any ideas please?

Worth posting this in General Chat. I'm assuming your still running a 300tdi?

Ps.... meant to say flames from the zorst must mean your getting a lot of fuel or oil flowing though.

Possible injector fault? Is it running smoothly otherwise?

Was it a new or salvaged turbo fitted?
