Fog Lights Lucas LR8

To make me series 3 right as it was, i have purchased some good 2nd hand lucas fog lights.

Turns out what i have purchased is a fog light (FT8) and a spot light (LR8) - rather than a pair of fogs. - The joys of ebay.

So..... Anyone got a Lucas FT8 (plastic back not chromed)? Even just the sealed unit for one would be suitable for the time being as i can stirp the cover off the spot light.

I also need a pair of the black plastic lens covers, dont have to be in great nick, but useable.

Was it common then, to have one fog light and one spot light fitted? Were they wired sepeartely? It seems the benefits of having a fog light would be outweighed by the glare you would get off a spot light if it was on at the same time!

i have a pair of the old chrome lucas spot and fogs , its ok to fit them like that

How much do you wnt for them? Pine have to be plastic, cos i want the motor to be like it was when it was being used byt he fire service. So wil ahve to put the lamp unit in the plastic body (if it will go???)
