Fog light fault

Hi, I've recently bought a 90 csw. When I bought it the fog light switch was broken. I have replaced it with a genuine Land Rover switch which I have tried in my mate's csw and it works fine, in mine, when I switch the fog light on it comes on, when I switch it off, it stays on, when I switch it on again it goes off, when I switch it off it then stays off. It follows the same pattern every time. Can anyone shed any light please (excuse the pun)?

Could be a sticking relay
