Hi
I now have two working fobs
They both lock all doors and 'undeadlock' the doors (clunks heard) but dont pop the buttons up. The drivers door button used to pop up, but recently gave up the ghost. I presume this is motors in locks.
But, the lock/unlock button on the dash (lower centre) now also does nothing - it makes some noises happen (I think under the steering wheel) but doesnt unlock or lock doors in any way. It definitely used to lock all doors.
So, I am wondering if this is something more than, or even other than, door lock motors not working
Any thoughts please?
How does this system 'schematically' work?
There are door locks with their own motors and also deadlock motors?
The fob should do what on first click and then on second click? (I know I need to click it twice to unlock tailgate, but should it unlock driver's door on 1st and rest on 2nd?)
What should the dash button do? locks & deadlocks together? or first locks the deadlocks? or just locks?
I dont want to go to all the hassle of changing the door lock motors and then it is a CPU or locking module (or whatever its called) problem.
Thanks
