Flushing coolant on a 300tdi

Ok guys, I cant seem to find a definative checklist/how too for this task so I would like some input and advice please

I intend to:

Drain from hose at bottom of rad and reattach
Fill with Flush and run
Clean the flush out with hose to top of thermostat and/or header tank
Refill from thermostat housing
Refill from header tank until radiator full (with rad plug off)


Have i got this right or am I barking up the wrong tree? Please comments advice appreciated so I can get this right and get no airlocks

theres a block drain 13mm socket size passenger side of engine half way up block in front of turbo

How often do you flush...........the coolant?
