Well found yet another problem, can't be far off rebuilding the whole damned thing the amount of stuff been replaced! :D Still keeps me out the missus way!;)

I've found a knackered wheel bearing, rear O/S hub. The bearing has completely worn apart, and is a right mess.
I've had a look on my rave manual, to see what should be in the hub, as i want to replace all the parts in there, except the nuts for the bearing, washer and lock washer.

So anyway am i right in thinking it's 2 wheel bearings, and a seal to replace?

And a new lock washer is a good idea. Here's a little tip - when you have removed one outer race cut a slot in it with an angle grinder. You can then use it to put on the new race and hammer it in. As it has a slot it won't get stuck in the hub.

Cheers for the tip Jim, just in the middle of doing it now. Doesn't look like i'll need to cut a slot in it, 1 of the old races was just loose enough to get back out. So that tip is safely in the memory bank for next time!!:D

Got another question, put what would be called the inner bearing in i guess (1 closest to the landy), put the bearing shield, housing what ever you want to call it (not the roller part of the bearing), so put that in and there's quite abit of movement between the hub and the shield, where as the other bearing was a tight fit. Should there be this play that i'm seeing on the inner bearing?

Thanks
