Has anyone had any experience of this, flickering Speedo and Tacho needles.

Not seen it on your car, too new for me, but it used to be a regular thing on some Volvo models, it was always a failed solder joint or a fractured track on the flexible dash panel PCB. Quire possibly it will be something similar or a corroded connector, bad earth etc.
