Hi, have a 2000 2.5dse..

Parked vehicle up sat evening and set alarm as normal, everything functioned as would be expected.

Came out 3hrs later and the indicators were all lit in a constant manner and the vehicles battery was too flat to start the car.

Checking the battery it had dropped to just over 10v...

When jumpstarted the vehicle started and charged perfectly, and has been fine since...

I cant work out what would do it, nothing was left on in the cabin, all electronics were disconnected so there was no auxilary drain..

Confused.com...

Anyone got any ideas???

As the indicators are switched by the BECM a glitch in that maybe. Have you got condensation inside the car?

The car did have moisture in the inside indeed, as the o-rings are still patiently waiting. Screen demisting is also not great at the moment as my heated screen doesnt want to play for some reason and my blend motor is stuck on cold on the passenger side..

Was a wet evening ...

Check the battery first port of call they don't last forever , then if ok you need to see what's draining Hopefully not your becm

Stick a small dehumidifier in it for a few hours if you have one, you will be amazed how much moisture it will suck out. Moist air and electronics do not gel together very well.

Okey doke will do that this weekend when im investigating the o-rings..

On a side note, any idea as to the location of the heated screen connection. Im sure it was working, but it has just stopped now..

Look at relays 4 R/H and 5 L/H. Relay 5 activates relay 4 so if that is duff neither side will work. Also fuses 32 and 30. Connections are under Right and left trim panels either side of the intake grille below the screen. You will have to remove them to get at the plugs.

Maybe Keith but can't think why RF unit duff would switch indicators on solid. But i suppose stranger things have happened. :):)
The indicators come on when the RF receiver has flattened the battery, it's been reported a good few times. the indicators are just a sign that the ECU has lost control.
