Help please

The battery on my free lander 2 has gone flat and won’t let me open the doors. The key also won’t work. How can I get into the car. I’ve had Greenflag out but to be truthful he wasn’t interested in trying to open the car. I know it’s possible as my friend had the same problem and the AA managed to get in. Any help will be much appreciated. TIA

The emergency key is in your key fob. The only door with a keyhole is the front passenger. There is a plastic cover that just pops off revealing the keyhole. You might need a bit of WD40 in it. When you open the door it should set the alarm off, if so just press the unlock button on the dash to stop it.

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately the key isn’t working. I’ve tried WD40 but that did nothing.

You can't get in by traditional break in tools.
The lock assembly is designed to resist all attempts to break in, as it's an insurance requirement.

The only 2 ways in are through the passenger door with the emergency key, or provide power to the vehicle via the starter motor main battery wire.

However if the vehicle has gone into low power mode, the passenger door key is the only way in, and from memory, it's part of the annual service to check it's working.
