Dear folks,
Can anyone think of a reason, or even a new area to start to look for a reason why I should have a flat battery every fortnight? It's a 1996, ex Transco, 300series 90. It won't hold a charge for more than a few days of not running -
Here's what it isn't: It isn't the battery, that's a new yellow top.
It isn't the altenator, that's just been done.
It isn't the connections loose on the terminals.
It isn't the plate under the seat touching the terminals, or anything else touching the terminals.
It's not running anything major -only the clock. And from what I came to expect of a yellow top, this is hardly up to those expectations.
I even have a big (tea tray size) solar panel trickle charger on the roof that plugs into the fag lighter. Seems to make no difference.
Any ideas where else to look or what to think of?
Many thanks in advance
Richard T.
