I am thinking of buying a TD5 90, most of them I have looked at so far, have a floppy head lining over the front section and there seems no way of securing it. Do any of you experienced hands know an answer?

I had the exact same problem with my 2005 90 and last summer whilst fixing the leaking door seals, I managed to get some marine grade sealant and adhesive in the roof lining via the door headlining and in from the interior light fixing – once it’s in place you just need to hold the lining in place with some timber and then let the adhesive set. I use Sikaflex-291 which is superb for this type of work and about £10:00 a tube.

Thanks tyclyd, pragmatic one that, and as I expected I suppose, a sensible end-user solution to a lack of clear thinking on the part of Land Rover. How hard can it be for them to fix a bloody head lining in place form day 1? ... I ask you!

hi i had same problem so i drilled 2 holes in the center as there is a beam overhead an put in 2 fir tree fixings (the type that fix the headlining on the sides) that i got of landrover i cut them down to size ait looks the bollocks and works a treat , 1 thing be very very careful that you dont drill throught the roof
