I have a pair of recaro's left over from my ford RS days and want to know if anyones ever fitted Ford seats to a Disco and if so was it easy?.

Gonna have a go at it anyways but it would just be nice to hear from someone with experience ;)

I have a pair of Fiesta Mk4 XR2i "wide winged" style recaro seats bolted into mine ( Disco TDi200 ) with no problems, a simple adapter bar will suffice, however you will sit a tiny bit higher than the standard seats which may see the need for a smaller steering wheel or a D shape design like I have fitted.

So yer, your looking at 2 simple bars with a couple of holes drilled.......doesn't get much more simple :)

This is a nice thread to find. I just bought a couple of half leathers from a rover coupe for my 200.
dont suppose a pic is available of the adaptor you used????

Whilst my seat feels bolted in correctly I can see a little time with the spanners wont go a miss :D

I never fitted these btw, they were in it when I got it, I would naturaly have done the job properly if I had done it :p

Dead simple steel bars with some holes drilled in as you can see.

Your welcome :)

Like I already said tho, just double check your knee clearance against the steering wheel, im suspecting thats why the original owner fitted this pathetic tiny little thing that im stuck with atm......
