Hit a problem whilst trying to fit. Any thoughts gratefully received

I have had the wheel off and put the mudflap on, Top and Middle screws in no problem ..... but the Bottom screw hole on the mud flap (see photo with orange pointer) has no corresponding hole in the main body. There is a fixing underneath main body, but I think I need to make or buy an angled bracket to make use of this? Anyone happen to know does your bottom hole have a bracket or how I fix it?

There is also quite of bit of gapping (see photo) but this may close up I hope when I have worked out how the bottom screw hole for the mud flap is fixed to the main body.

Any thoughts much appreciated asap.

Thanks ,
Paul

are you sure they're the right mudlaps? they don't look flush with the bumper.

from what I can remember, I think they just screw into a square block of plastic on the bumper, but i may be wrong.

Thanks LandyMan,
I am thinking the same - are they right ones!?! Forgot to say my Freelander is a 56 .... I did check out a few websites and these showed as fitting my year ....

DAMN! I have just discovered a different Mud flap on the main Landrover Website on Ebay they have a different Cat #500060PMA for Freelander 2004 ONWARDS... Well at least I know now!!!

If anyone has made a bracket that works let me know! Thanks Paul

I've just had a look on mine and the mudflaps are completely flush with the bumpers, looks like you need to get the other 1's unless you don't mind them not being flush.
