alright lads/
started on removing gearbox.its always the same when taking nuts and bolts off theres always one that dosent want to come off and starts rounding..pain in the arse,,any way wee question manual says to take exhust off, but it looks as if its not in the way for me to move the gearboxand transmission to let me get into the clutch has anybody got any theories an this cheers pat

bugger that, the gearbox is a lot easier and quicker to get off than taking the engine out. it is better to take the front pipe of as it runs under the gearbox, best to get every thing out the way before getting the gearbox in you hands then wishing you took that part off.

horses for courses, if your not got a 4 post ramp and a transmission jack/3 people-then 2 people and an engine crane more control

just front half needs to come off, have to lower gearbox down a bit to get enough clearance between box and body, cant lower box if exhaust still on. on top 2 bellhousing bolts there are brackets for heater pipe across back of engine I bent them up enough to clear bellhousing bent them back after, not easy but do able. Have fun.
