I know that the GPS cooler has to be moved.

Anyone know how this is down? I heard there was a Landrover kit?

Any advice appreciated.

Electric Turbo fan eh?

I have searched all the forums on this subject. People do fit the lamps to Diesels, as long as u r not in the Sahara or towing, then should be OK. I think I will clean the fan, add some ducting to be safe. Then add the lamps.

On my 2001.DHSe there is a fan on the GB cooler. They added can a lot of extra crop to the last models EGR, MAF, WABCO D etc.

Fog lamps can be fitted if you vent the bumper cover and fit ducting. Mine has this done. But it has no fan. Don't know if you can get the lamp in when the fan is fitted, it may foul. EGR/MAF were introduced in 1998.

All the changes I have had to replace. New MAF, new EGR, new WABCO D ECU. Drove me mad.

I am sure I read about a kit that allows you to move the GB cooler that LR did. Can't find the evidence.

This is where I mounted mine. I trapped the 2 sensors under the bracket so they are pressed up against the new rad.

I did this conversion around 30k miles ago now. I have fog lights in the bumper and I think it looks soooo much better!!

Hardest part was stripping the dash and fishing out the harness for the dash switch!!

I wonder if I could get mine in there? In front of main radiator I have intercooler, oil cooler and Condenser. Not sure I have the room! :(

If the EGR was stuck open easiest thing to do was block it off instead of buying new bits.

This is a pic around a year later when I was replacing the A/C condenser, as you can see I have loads of room, and don’t understand why Land Rover didn’t just fit something similar in the first place!

Perhaps because with all the different RADS in front of the engine cooling RAD the engine cooling is already marginal.

I'm not sure I agree with this in the UK Maybe in UAE or someone wishing to rock crawl near Death Vally or towing a 3 ton caravan. But for someone like me?? I spend 99% of the time on the motorway doing 70+ odd trip over to Europe, so again long drive. Odd bit of Green lane, and odd bit of towing. I think the standard cooling system is more than up to the job, and since moving the gearbox rad I've noticed that the ATF stays Red and smells "sweet" for longer. I've also retro fitted a dipstick for the autobox, now most will say what's the point? but it's something I find easier, and so why not?? each to their own

I'd say if you want fogs and why would you not?? then crack on and carry out this conversion! I'd also say that I'm not the only one that's done this, but I have coved a lot of miles! so it's well tested

LR make the car for all market conditions, you may get away with it in the UK, but towing 3.5 tonnes in Spain in 45C? I think not.

Does seem like an awful lot of effort just to fit some fog lights.

Never use mine. A right PITA when a huge stone flew up & took out the drivers side spot light, they are not cheap!
