Fitting a Tacho

Has anyone had a tacho fitted to a TD5? if so where did they fit it as there is no room under the seats, mounting it on the dash will obscure the view of the road and the radio will not be coming out :mad: . Thought of putting it in one of the storage boxes in the boot, any Idea's guys.
 
aye hes got one o the new style uns fitted in there, looks like a radio, i was thinkin o the big old round uns. i aint sure of the new legislation but i know new vehicles have to have the smartcard tacho's fitted, not so sure about old vehicles being upgraded to having a tacho. i would check with your local la first
 
Alright Yella, that analogue one in the photo would do fine as I've already got a digital one in the truck at work, I'd like to keep the two seperate if you get my drift for the time being until by new business is fully up and running then the truck will be parked up for ever.
 
Did you drop a V8 in there or not? I miss my old IIa with the V8 lump but wouldn't like to be running her now with the price of petrol on the way up again.
