Fitting a snorkel to my 110

Hi Guys,

Sorry for my limited knowledge, but i'm new to this....

Ive got a land rover 110 that was a TD5 but has had a 300 fitted....

and i want to fit a snorkel, so i ordered a Mantec and it arrived today, but shiws it fitting to a vent panel on the side of the wing...however i dont have that panel.

I only have a vent in the top of the left wing.....

am i able to retro fit this, or do i start again.

Ok ive just had a look at the wing and mine has the vent on the passengers side....

But the one i bought fits the drivers side...opppps!

So has mine got the wrong wing... i'm so confussed......

forget were you wing hole is were dose your air box pipe run to driver or passenger side like the one in pic the big round bake bean can shaped thing 9918.jpg

td5 intake is on drivers side wing passenger side intake is for the heater. are vents your talking about on top of the wing or on the side.

Ok, on the passengers wing there vent in the outer side wall and also a vent in the top of the wing as well.

On the drivers wing there is a styling type vent (Blank) on the top only....

?

it would seen you have not got td5 wings, seems strange to replace a td5 lump with a tdi. thought it would be easier to re-route air intake rather than replace BOTH wings, did you do the engine change.Does everything else on the vehicle all add up.

it sounds like someone has put older wings on it take some pics an post them an we can help you more (pics of wings an engine bay)
 
the original engine was a 2.5 Turbo Diesel 19J engine - as it's had an engine which usually vented on the opposite side I doubt you'll be able to buy one that fit without some messing about

right first thing first its not a td5 there should be a pipe that comes off the air box/filter (underneath) about 3-4 inches thick see witch way it runs it will probably go to passenger wing side vent so ad say your better to buy a 200 tdi snorkel rather than fookin about an then it will just be a case of seal up an screw on save you trying to re-root pipes
