As the title suggests - although I've fitted a new metal facia on the TD5 centre console I'm considering fitting the Raptor dash. The TD5 centre piece has three fixing points on the top but it has started to go brittle and one has broken off making the whole thing vibrate - not long before the rest brake.

Has anyone else fitted a raptor to a TD5 dash? If so, do you have to do any more cutting around the vent controls?

Pics would be good.

Daz, did you have to do any additional cutting or was it per the instructions?

Have you got any photos showing the vent controls?

You can see from the pics that the only cutting i had to do was the lower part of the dash - the template is paper but cut out and stuck to hardboard - then screwed to the dash and cut out. The raptor dash fits inbetween the flap controls ;)

You may have to cut extra bits away, but the basic structure of the dash in that area is pretty similar so I should think it would work.

Could always give Raptor a ring in the week and ask if they know of anyone fitting it to the post-2002 dash?

Spoke to Phil - he said that the console will fit but the plastic insert will need some trimming. He's looking at making a console for the post 2002 dash.

Has anyone got any more pics so that I can choose the best layout.

i has mine fitted. Although i have the pre 2002 TD5.

Im in sutton, your more than welcome to come have a look sometime.

Its in a 200TDi but its the same fittings, dash is the same bar some extra little clips for the TD5 console, just trim out and fit. You can get a variety of different layouts, all available on the website. Have a think what you will have extras wise before you buy, I am running 6 switches, front lights, rear lights, winch cut out, heated seats master switch and 2 heated seat selector switches, 2 12V sockets, CB, CD player, boost gauge, oil pressure gauges and I have 2 battery gauges stuck over 1 gauge hole and thats me filled now, will get a pic later of it full...

Fitted - only need carling stickers for:

2 x heated seats
1 x radio
1 x heated rear screen

A bit of a bitch to fit in the TD5 dash but well worth the time and effort.
