Hi all!

I have come up with an idea to try and fit a roller blind from a 5 door freelander to my 3 door.

As standard, it doesnt fit due to the extra intrusion caused by the hardtop. Now looking at the blind, it looks like it can be disassembled and then modified(cut down) to fit. Then comes the problem of getting it to fix into my freelander. I have seen in an accessories guide that there are a couple of brackets for the rear of the boot where the seats are and then there must be something to hold the roller in the closed position at the back door.

Does anyone have any experience in doing this or can someone post pictures of the brackets that i am talking about.

Thanks

There are no brackets for the 5 door loadspace cover. It locks into the moulded side trim panels.

If you are successful in cutting down the blind and re-assembling then I should think it would be quite easy to form cut outs in the trim panels to mount the blind, you could then fabricate a suitable bracket to locate the ends of the blind when closed. Let me know if you need photos of the front and back mounts.
