I bought an X-charge and for some reason it didn't work :( But I do have a great parts supplier here in NL and as they didn't have a second one to exchange it with, I was given a T-max split charge kit at no extra cost :)

This was my attempt to fit it.

First find a spot for the relay, figured the bulkhead was wise and there was a nice empty spot where I ripped out some random relays.

Then some cable making, invented a crimping tool for my vice, worked a treat too :)

Note the bit of tape, that is instrumental in holding the terminal on the cable for crimping but also for maintaining terminal orientation to halp minimize twists and kinks, and, squashed tighter than a squashed squashy thing.

The T-max has a fancy controler unit thing and these four wires need to be routed from the cab to the relay in the engine bay, luckily there was a spare grommet in the top corner to be taken full advantage of.

One of the feeds to the controler has a 30A inline fuse in it, now this bit is for demonstration purposes only, I hate scotchlocks with such a passion that Mr. Grey would be envious! But T-max supplies this thing which probably works fine for most but not me!

Needs a good earth too so used a local one that is used for the headlight relays.

This is the relay fully fitted up :)

I have removed the bog standard fag lighter as there is a socket with twin USB ports to be fitted later on, so good spot for it as it can be easily seen and fiddled with until the novelty wears off :D

Happy, happy, happy :D
