Fitted an aluminium tailgate, now the interior light won't go out???

Just fitted an aluminium tailgate to my 86 classic, but now the interior light is always on.

Is there a switch or something I'm missing??

I can't work out how the car knows the boot lid is open or not.

Any suggestions would be great!!!!

Found the switch, tailgate was just missing it, sorted it with a gentle tap from the hammer!!

i was just about to say 'gentle' tap with hammer should do the trick!!!
