First Time Landy

Hi all,

I've just bought my first Landy - an '07 Freelander 2 HSE.

I'm in East Sussex and would love to start to explore some byways and green laning but not really sure where to start. If anyone has any tips, advice or recommendations, I'll happily receive them!

I can’t help with the lanes, we just go where we want here as long as no gate it’s open

so no problems. UK is on the other hand clamping down on where you can and can’t drive so beware. Think there’s something called GLASS in the UK but not familiar with them @HiCap I believe knows about them as do a few others.

Welcome from a fellow East Sussex member, I don’t know much about green laning in this area
If you do find any green laning info i would interested in hearing about it as well

ref the Greenalning, 2 things to do.

1) Join GLASS, then you will have access to trailwise2, a good mapping resource for the byways , UCRs etc .

2) Look on FB, there are lots of greenlaning groups, find the local GLASS one to you and get in touch with them.

Just be aware the lanes are generally very overgrown at the moment and if you like your paint then be very careful where you go.

Wow, thanks guys! I'll get scouting and see what's around on FB. I've checked out GLASS and their resources do look great!
