First time freelander owner needs advice

Also the members on here have specific knowledge about the freelander that the mechanic at your local garage may not be clued up on as they may not get to work on that many and the cost of repairs at a landrover main dealer you would need to mortgage your house.

From all the questions i have asked on here over the last couple of years i've been able to keep my freelander up and running by doing the work my self as it was becoming too expensive to keep taking it to the garage as in the first year of owning it i'd already spent double what i'd bought it for so it was a case do the work myself or get rid and the later wasn't a option.

Whoop whoop.
I've just been to a scrap dealer and purchased a rear window mechanism and motor. All for £18.00 including a 30 day warrantee.
Bish bash bosh and the rear window works and as you have ALL rightly stated, it has fixed the issues relating to the rear window, heater, wiper, etc.
I have done the window reset and disconnected the battery and then the window button and key position resulting in the window now being correctly set up.
I do have a final question though..
When I put the window up or I close the door, the final bit the window goes up it doesn't go into the groves of the roof. (Outside top left) top of the glass.
The only way to do it is to close the door and (only a gentle) push with a finger to guide the window to fit correctly.
All the bolts are tight and seated correctly.
Many thanks.
Very proud of myself. Thanks guys and girls. 😃
