Sorry have l read that wrong, you bought a 1999 300 TDi ?
Only l thought they weren't making the 300TDi in 1999, the TD5 was out by then, unless it's a very late model, one of the last 300TDi?

Personally although l've now got a TD5 l love the TDi and l think that a good 300TDi is the best Land Rover of them all.

l had a 1996 one a few years ago, it was lovely.

Yes, it's a very late 300TDI one of the last few off the production line apparently?

It drove very well and was surprisingly quiet inside, being a factory county wagon. Really excited to collect it and will share some proper photos in due course. :)

Sounds like we both bought a very similar first defender :) as picked up my red county 300 tdi yesterday :).
