Decided to fire up my v8 rrc today as it hasn't moved for a few months, charged the battery and it started first turn of the key:D, took it for a spin round the field and fell in love with that v8 burble all over again. So I've decided to fix it over the next couple of weeks.

I know it needs new pads and discs (which I have ordered) but I was told there is a dodgy valve on the brake pipe in the front wing, does anybody know what valve this may be? and is it a pain in the arse to replace?

All help greatly appreciated as always.:):)

done the pads and discs this evening while it was still light and now I'm gonna study rave for a bit to find this elusive valve. hopefully be mot'ed and on the road by the end of next week:)

There is a valve on the drivers side inner wing that has 3 or 4 brake pipes and an electrical connection. I think it measures the pressure in the brake system and if inadequate, lights a brake failure warning light. They do tend to leak fluid through the electrical bit.......could it be this?

I think its the brake pressure reducing valve. Reduces brake pressure to the rear wheels so they dont lock up. It's just unbolt and replace, on my old classic i just put a tee piece in.

it is the brake pressure reducing valve, I've ordered a new one so should get fitted tuesday. Gritch didn't realise you could just put a Tee piece in or I would have saved myself a few quid.
