Hi
I'm new to this and thought i would look in to get some info about buying a 4x4.
I do some charity work for a road safety organisiation and have recently been promoted where i would be required to tow a MDU (mobile display unit). Basically it's like a caravan/burger van but the sides open out and people can walk in and sit down for a chat etc.
The MDU is approx 1000kg, and i need to tow off road in to a field etc when attending events, so think the TD5 would be my best option?
Car would be used as an every day runner to and from work.
Budget would be around £3-4k.
However unsure of a few things e.g. what the GS, ES & XS stand for???
I s an automatic better that a manual gearbox??? What to look out for, what's their achillies heel???
Any advcse anyone can offer to a would be first time Disco buyer is grately apprciated.
Many thanks in anticipation.
