A 110 19j 2.5td. Seems pretty good so far! Made the 150 mile trip back from Milton Keynes back to Manchester at 60 all the way and 30 quids worth of fuel! Quite impressed! Alot nippier than I thaught it would be!
As per, started on a long list of things to do. Thinkit needs a new thermostat as it wasn't even showng on the temp gauge all the way up, I didn't have the rad flap thing down tho.. Usual tdi conversion planned in the not too disnta t future! I'm sure il be keeping you all posted n what gets done and any problems!
Cheers

here are a couple of the for sale pics,

in the day iv had it i have taken the wheel off the bonnet, not my cup of tea! got the interior light to work ;-) got the brake lights working, tightned the power steering belt.. loads of other bits of crap!

the doors are pretty well fecked, most of the bottom frame is rusted through. and the most annoying thing, the inside and outside handles only actually open the door when they feel like it, as with the locks (they lock but wont unlock) i have been getting in through the back door!
for some reason the windscreen washer jet pipe has fallen off and just sprays arround somewhere behind the heater matrix/motor box, i cant get to it to plug it back on, think im guna have to take the box off...

all usual landy things!

the rear drivers side hub seems to be leaking quite abit, wheel is covered in oil. think i need to change a seal somewhere..?

karl.

oh yes... and on the drive home it was bloody freezing the whole way, even with the rad mat thing halfway down. so i thaught i may aswel change the thermostat to see if it helps. got my new thermostat and went to fit it to find there was no thermostat at all fitted! i thaught, here we go, a head gasket cover up or something! but fitted the new un, and is spot on now! warm, getts up to temp, and dosent over heat. got the electric fan sat to come on at 100 just incase..

should be able to reattach the washer pipe by removing the ashtray and reaching down through the hole fella.

looks alright that, what mods you got planned?

Ahh nice one. Give that a go today.

Think I'm guna keep it pretty simple mod wise, 200tdi is going in (maybe 300 not decided yet..!) mostly just protection underneath, diff guards, steering guard and tank guard. I duno if it's lifted or not.. Can't tell! Need a light bar but that's about it!

Anyone got any tip to get the doors opening?

Nice one - have you tried just spraying wd into the lock? Also check the locking rods and catches are moving sufficiently to open the door.

Yehh I sprayed wd all over the lock and linkages, I think there is too much play on the arms that attach the 'button' thing that you push down to lock. It seems that sometimes if you hold it up and pull the handle, it open's!?

Oh yes the chassis seems in suprisingly good nick! Rear x member has had 2 patches, but I can't see any areas that it is coming through again. The bulk head will e getting abit of attention to prevent any rust getting worse. A large dose of waxoil in the next few weeks I think!
