Just wanting to share the relief with someone...

Having arrived back from the middle east this time last year, the car has finally been given it's UK registration plates. It's been a MASSIVE task to get it UK road legal, do all the paperwork, find paper work that didn't exist, and deal with forms being rejected time and time again, cost wasn't too bad, but I neatly ran out of patience.

But now it's ready for the UK winter, what joy!!!! I've already spent £600 on presents for the old rusty thing.

Thats a good question - I have about 5 weeks to kill this winter - but nothing is really sparking my imagination! Any ideas??????

I'm also thinking about sending the car over to the USA during the summer of 2017 as I have some work on the west coast in the Autumn and was thinking I could drive across and then between the gigs and then hold the car up for an impending adventure north / south. Only thing is it would mean driving over the mexico boarder and I'm lead to believe that can be a bit fraught with danger.

Lastly me and the soon to be wife, are thinking about a honeymoon around Scandinavia or Iceland (if I can stomach the cost of getting the car there)

See if @vilguy has any ideas, he jaunts all over for work and was thinking of invading Canada ...

Yes, go up that really dramatic road along the north west coast of Norway. I fancy doing that some time.
A friend who visits Iceland regularly says it's better to go on your own and hire a car when you're out there, as it works out a lot more reasonable than taking one's own.

yes I agree. The ferry ride amounts to a total of 7 days and a HUGE cost, but me other half doesn't want to be touring in anything other than our car with our set up - so I think iceland will most likely not happen. Which I'm not too sad about.

I drove through Norway and Sweden on my way back home and it was amazing. very much want to go back and see more...

New foam and covers on the seats as well as heat pads,
AND....
Heated windscreen which is going to be a b***h to put in I'm sure.
