Hi all,

I thought I should be a 'polite' new neighbour, as I will be asking to 'borrow some sugar' frequently, I'm sure!

I've been wanting to get a Defender 90 300Tdi for a while but just can't justify the price that they seem to maintain so, eventually today, bit the bullet and bought a Discovery 300Tdi instead! Justified the difference in model based on the fact that 90% of my time will be road based and that the likely hood of requiring the additional off-road ability offered by a Defender in that 10% of time off road may not be required (he says naively or optimistically, not sure which!).

New project, so I am sure I will be trawling the site looking for answers to questions and, if not already asked/answered, will be posting and looking for all you nice people to help to correct me and/or point me in the right direction, armed with a little more knowledge.

Any issues or problems or gems of advice I encounter along the way with my new project I look forward to sharing with you.

Thank you all,
Bob
