Have any of you guys installed an accessory power socket yet? Was thinking of putting one in the military light switch panel powered from the banana socket supply.

Sounds like you need to start looking for a second battery if your going to start doing things like that, try and keep extra self wired stuff separate from the original wiring.

either way get one of those marine fuse box type things like This and then run an earth and live to the fuse box. Then run your feed and mount the socket and your good.

Cheers for that, its something I need to look into as I may eventually look into adding more comforts. See how this winter goes. For now I just need an accessory socket for charging sat navs and phones, usb sockets seem very expensive.

No but I got some banane plugs and a female 12v car socket and a length of cable and made a fly lead to convert it. That way the original loom remains intact and I don't have to cut up the metal console to fit it flush. Works just fine for me :)

Ill give that a go. Have you put an in line fuse on yours or is thst supply already fused?

No idea if it's fused or not, I haven't looked. An inline fuse wouldn't hurt though. Only thing is its permanent live so remember to unplug everything to stop battery drain. Took me a while to work that one out lol
