feeling the tension....

when i start up my 300tdi, there's a real annoying squeek that speeds up when you press the go pedal, now i think its belt related and have sprayed a bit of trusty WD40 on the tensioner, now this cures the noise for a bit then it returns to **** me off some more
can i change the tensioner without having to mess with belts/pullys etc??

thanks for that, I'm gonna give it a go today. 1 thing though, I'm not great mechanicaly, so if i take the belt off, will that not affect the timing???

becarefull as its a right bastid to get the belt fitted again on the tensioner , your end up useing a pry bar to lift the tensioner up to put the belt back on
