why did LR use this crap Bosch commonrail setup?
Anyway with an out of spec maf sensor I have fitted a Mafam from Roveron £55.00. This adjustable box of tricks sorts out the maf signals and restores the low rev power. It can also accept the Pierburgh Maf sensor so if your maf is totally dead you can buy this much more reliable cheaper replacement at around £50.00 compared to the Bosch at £160.00.

I believe the Pierburg maf fits in the housing of the Bosch, also the wiring should be fine, but don't know whether the values correspond to insure a correct working of the engine. However VW users which originally also have Bosch maf can go easily to Mercedes and buy such a Pierburg for a much cheaper price, also BMW engines are listed for Pierburg where they originally had Bosch, and looking at the Pierburg list they have only one serial number available for maf's which leads me to believe that Pierburg has only one type of maf where Bosch is conjuring with all kind of different serial nbrs, per make but also per type of car, where in the end they all point to the one Pierburg replacement ??
