is it possible to read the fault code without plugging into a code reader
i could with my old vectra thanks in advance

As far as I know you can only read codes with a code reader

I think there is a way to use the air con display on a td5 disco but don't quote me on that

no, you need to plug it in.

depending on the age/model, you can read the emissions faults from the engine with a generic OBD2 reader, but to read the proper LR codes, you need a system like hawkeye / rovacom / nanocom / autologic / t4 etc
