Fault code U3000-50

Hi all,

Hope you are all keeping well.

Sorry to bother you all again. Another problem with my range....
I need some help with fault code U3000-50 Control Module - System Programming Failure. What does it mean? How do I solve the problem?

Snap on diagnostics, just the one code came up

Hi

if u clear the code does it come back, is there any date / mileage plse, does every thing work ok

normally U codes can be ignored and cleared

if it was the only 1 your lucky
Ignore most “U” codes, but could be a sign of damp creeping in. If you want to have a look under carpets and in the boot cubbies.

I take it the car is otherwise fine?

The code was cleared. Then when the car was started it came back up. Everything seems to work ok.

If it aint broke, don't try to fix it

Low voltage or comms errors due to low voltage or starvation due to a long start/none start... Flipping computers

Just poor or penny pinching design of the ECU power supplies, really all these vehicles should have 2 batteries, 1 for starting and one to run the electronics.

If you need a new battery, get the biggest that will fit, do not rely on Halfrauds to tell you which is the correct battery, they are often wrong or on the low capacity side.
