whats the verdict on using these type of jacks? ive used them for years but am always wary of them as had them topple over in the past, especially when jacking either the cross member or front chassis (I do use the adapter so it fits in the chassis holes).....:D
 
As long as grounded wheels are properly chocked front and rear and you put it in Lowrange 1st with difflock engaged. They are pretty stable. I've used em for all sorts from wheel changes to dragging a Transit tipper body onto another transit. Pulling tree stumps. lifting locked gates on greenlanes. Etc Etc.

Gotta watch the handles more than tipping over. the buggers will smash ya face/jaw to pulp if you're not careful.

Great for lifting out of ruts, etc., can be utilised with slings/chains as a winch but not advised for changing wheels except in an emergency. Buy one and learn how to use it properly and safely and you will be rewarded.

funny that....always use it safely and properly but now and again they will catch you out as probably most have found out....
