Fan Removal

Basically the hose from the pump to thermostat has split and I need to remove the fan to allow access to the clip on the hose.
I have not got the special spanners and just wondered if anyone had any idea's.

If it's a V8, the nut size is 36mm A/F and the thread is r.h. Give it a few sharp taps to the left (Looking from the front) to undo it.
