Hi,

Just gone to start the disco after driving it all morning, and it won't fire. All dash lights on, but nothing on the turn of the key. It's already been turned off and fired up about 5-6 times already this morning with no issues, but now nothing. Any ideas? I've looked under the bonnet and everything seems fine, nothing loose or disconnected.

when you turn the key to start it do the lights dim at all.
also you can try putting a wire from the live on the battery with the ingnition on and put it to the starter solinoid. that will start it if the starter is ok.

No lights don't dim, which has me thinking it's an immobiliser fault maybe?

Just as likely to be the starter switch as well .. they are prone to having issues!

Keep trying, take key out each time. I also find that when mine does it, putting the steering lock on and then having to jolt it a little and unlock it helps .. ;)

The real fix would be for me to change the thing, but I need tuits ..

Cheers guys, it's just started after 10-15 try's, I did what you said Paul and it seemed to work. I can't try the wire to the solenoid Shultz as I'm stuck in a Morrisons car park.
