Working through the list of failures on the MOT check-list and 1 was headlight aim too low on both sides.
Anyone able to give me an approx measurement of the bean pattern height so as I can check if the garage were just being pedantic

RAVE says 1.2% down and parallel.

Now, from here on I'm prepared to get shot down in flames.

How much is 1.2% of what?
Most DIY setting up procedures talk of being 25 feet from the setting screen; a wall or whatever.
In that case, 1.2% would be 3.6 inches down which sounds about right, I think, maybe, err, umm ....
I prefer to see the lights set to aim towards the nearside kerb by a small amount too.

Thats about spot on !.

So measure the height to the main beam bulb and when the beam hits the wall 25 feet away it should be about 3.6 inches lower.
