Can you fit a face lift front bumper on a mk1 without changing the lights, i know there will be a small gap, but will it fit on leaving the old lights in?

why not get some card place it on your lights cut to shape ..then offer it up on the face lift..you will get an idea as to were it fits and were the gaps are...

If it fits, it'll probably look really crappy, so you're probably best to do the job properly or not at all. If it's just that you need a replacement bumper, best to go for the right one.

really, honestly, don't do it. either go the whole hog and change lights too, or leave well alone. there is a couple of threads on here on how to do the complete change and what bits to buy too.

good luck. guess I'll know if I see you drive by, you'll have the only pre and post-facelift freelander ever !

thanks for that iam only thinking of doing it that way because iam selling my front nudge bar to pay for it and didnt want to drive round with a bumper full of holes, so i thought i might just sell the nudge bar and with the money buy a bumper and get it sprayed, fit that then get the lights later when i have some more money. but i thought i wouldnt look to bad because if it would fit on then the only problem would be a small gap where the new light should come down.

If you did put the facelift bumper on you would have to take it off again to fit the correct headlights
