Extra Wire

Hi only had My MK1 (K) 200 tdi Disco since Aug 06 and getting arround all the things first owner has done?
I have a extra wire from the battery (red wire) going to the yellow (relay) ? or connector down by the passengers footwell, could this be imobiser bypass? and looking they have cut a brown wire off the block an fitted the red wire in place of it any info would be of great help

Sounds like someone has by-passed the fusible link, not a problem but it doesn't sound like a tidy job.

Have a look in the sleeve that runs from the pos bat terminal and you should find the original.
replace the short section between the two lumps of blue tape and that should restore it.
