Hey guys. On accessing the tray holding the fuel pump/filter I came across an extra connector just hanging about. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere during discussion on changing the pump. The connector comes from the same place as the fuel pump connector and earth wire. Any idea what it is and why there doesn't appear to be anything to connect it to?

It is for the dosing pump to the fuel burning heater, which resides, in and behind the front wheel arch liner nearside.

On the Rover 75 diesel M47 it is under the car at rear OS.

Thanks. Is there a good reason as to why someone would remove that pump? It's not there anymore.
Not all TD4s had the FBH as standard, so yours likely doesn't have it. You'll have an extra little fuse box in the engine bay, which is for the PTC heater which non FBH vehicles have instead.
