Hi all, been looking for a decent looking expedition roof rack for the 90 but
have been put off by their general £800-£900 price tags!

I went up to MM4x4 today to pick up a spare wheel carrier and while I was there I took a look at the one that they sell which is on their website for £280 + VAT.
Expecting it to be crap and cheap looking I was amazed at how wrong I was ... they look amazing and just like the far more expensive ones. Has anyone else bought one from them as I wouldn't mind your thoughts before I splash out but they are seriously smart.

Oh and no, I don't have commission for this before anyone says ... I'm just a genuine punter! :)

Made mine:)

There is a chap on Ebay who flgs new ones for £240 +P&P and they are galvanised and they look pretty good.

Someone posted a thread up on building one and by my maths the materials alon were £300-£350 which is what they cost new!! and you can get used ones on Ebay for £100 or less. The home builts go for even less.

However, I appreciate that building one your self does get you something to your exact specification.

I've seen the ones on ebay and they tend to be square sections. The MM4x4 one is tubular which in my opinion looks far better.

Ordered mine anyway after seeing it close up ... also has removable bars to allow for sunroofs if you have one. :)
