Enquire about the amount of $$$ going to charity. I looked into doing it 2 years ago and when asked what amount went to charity the reply was "approximately 20-30%" when challenged i was told "it costs alot to put the event on". So basically i thought this was ****e seeing as they advertise it as a charity event. We went and did the 3 peaks challenge by ourselves instead that year :) 100% to charity (~£1000)

Hi all,

I am really glad to see people talking about this great event!

In response to some previous posts:

Griffdowg - Thank you for your comments. There are always cost envolved in putting a large event like this together for so many people. I can say that alot more that 20-30% of funds raised on the event in 2009 will go to the Somerset region of Wooden Spoon. I am more than happy to discuss this futher with anyone that is interested.

treestump - I should hope that all of your sponsors will pay up! Let me know if you need any fundraising tips or ideas!

Mudpluggermax - Feel free to enter a vehicle on your own, I have plenty of other vehicles that you can team-up with!

Now I shall leave you all to your chat and promise not to bother you again! Would be nice to see a Landy Zone team though!

If anyone would like more information on the event, please feel free to email me: [email protected] or give me a call on 01889 582889.

Thanks for your time.

Sarah

Spam aside, is anyone interest in a Team LZ? I'm keen to go and will be putting my application in when I next get paid.

Here, those than are in the know, how about sponsoring us with some stickers? And Snickers maybe but stickers would be good!
