Exhaust Smoke From Injector Pipe?

Can you post a picture, it would help a lot

Injector sealing washer leaking.

What engine?

Could be a micro hole in injector pipe. Careful, the smoke may be high pressure diesel vapour and harmful to skin ect. Had this happen on a tractor.

+1 re leak and vapour, it may not be smoke. Could be very flammable.

Not only is there risk of fire hazard, the high pressure fuel vapour will easily penetrate skin if you get any part of the body close enough.

Diesel injected under the skin will cause serious tissue damage if medical attention is not called for straight away. The injury can look like a pin prick at first but is extremely serious.

There is a lot of information about this on the internet. If you are at all squeamish, be warned there are some graphic images of the end results.

I nearly lost a finger in 1979 from high pressure diesel hitting that finger.
I agree that's it's likely atomised diesel and very dangerous but the engine will be diesel covered- is it?

it was the fuel pipe at fault. I changed the injector first to check as I was unsure. Sorry for late reply but being autistic does make life a little hard at times. Thank you for the help and advice.

Was it loose or cracked? Just curious.

I assume it was cracked as the conection was tight. Will see what happens when the new pipe arrives.

They do crack just where the edge of the flange is, vibration plus the strain of the flange.
