Right last Monday I had a centre and rear exhaust fitted to my 300TDi at a local exhaust centre, they went through there catalogue and ordered the parts for a 300Tdi (1996 with Cat) and fitted the boxes.
Well today I had a clutch fitted at my local 'Roeans Landy Specialists Telford' they have just informed me that the exhaust that has been fitted it for the 200TDi.
They said the centre box on a 300Tdi should be OVAL shaped and the one that is fitted is CIRCULAR.
My main questions are...
a) Should it have been possible for my local exhaust centre to have been able to fit the wrong exhaust?
b) Will it make any difference to the performance/ecomomy (YES LAUGH AT THAT) having a 200Tdi system fitted to a 300TDi?
Help needed, before I go and make a fool out of myself telling the exhaust garage they have fitted the wrong exhaust even if it fits perfectly and is now quieter.
