Exhaust Manifold To Engine Probs

How do

The top two bolts on my 4cyl petrol manifold have a problem.

Left one turns completely, are they double threaded? Or am i looking at a snapped or shearing bolt?

Right one, the nut on it just spins, but i cant tell if its the thread on the nut or bolt.

What i want to know is, are they double threaded or come through the engine block? what size thread are they so i can get a new bolt on the right side.

They are studs, and it is quite common to find the stud comes out of the block rather than the nut coming off the stud.

So its a case of vice the stud when its out, get the nut off, then try again?

Yup, once you got the stud out, or you could put in back in using it like a bolt.

What you have is stripped thread. either the nut on the stud, and or stud in head.
You will need new studs, and new nuts. you may also need to tap and helicoil the head if the trheads are damaged in the head, although it is usually the threads on the studs that go, HTSH
