hi guys
been quoted £500 for stainless steel exhaust, which is way above what i wanted to pay.
can anyone recommend somewhere that could fit an exhaust (normal type) around the west yorkshire area?????
 
dont know if you seen the landy i bought, but the exhaust is coming out of the bonnet and i have somewhat of a query on engine, although it is a relatively easy job i just dont have the space in which to do it has i am unable to do any mechanical fixing on my driveway (council rules which led to my last rebuild having to be sold on in parts)..
 
for anyone else who was all.. wtf out of the bonnet

how do you lift the bonnet up to look at the engine? nm, found the answer in http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f6/830-mile-round-trip-240560-3.html .. it lifts off and has a can on top to stop water going down it.. lolololol

its had a goodish going over, the chassis is solid,, giving it a good run out this weekend down to wales and some laning, will have full service next week and new exhaust going to be fitted this week......
 
has it got one of them S2 exhaust manifolds with the internal flap and the down pipe that goes over the chassis and under the bulkhead out rigger. I havent seen one of them in eons.

thanks for the offer, i am not sure if its just going to be a case of buying and fitting, going to take pics of engine tomorrow and whatever else i can and post them on here.
i am a lot closer to that naughty step than you think lol
 
ah ah,,,,,, at least my other half had the idea to buy another landrover, but did state that there will be NO major works done on it this time....
give her time and see what she thinks later lol lol

Simon services in a village between wakey and Normy, check him out for all your land rover needs
 
been and sorted a service today, i was late and he had a little sulk but was good, got a list of items that are going to be done in a few weeks including the exhaust which is going to need a little fettling to fit correct.
best be on time and i may just get a cup of tea this time lol ... i hate been late for anything so fully understand how he felt....
